Privacy policy

Rocky Mountain Analytics ("we," "us," "our") is a sole proprietorship operated by Keith Twohig, based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It covers our website (rockymtnanalytics.com) and our analytics service and customer portal.

We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name and email address through our authentication provider. Billing details are handled by our payment processor; we don't store full payment card numbers.

Connected platform data. When you connect a platform — Instagram, Google Business Profile, or TikTok — we access analytics about your account (such as followers, impressions, post and video performance, reviews, and any audience insights the platform provides). This access is read-only, set up through the platform's own secure authorization via our data provider (Windsor.ai). We never see or store your platform passwords, and we can't post, message, or make changes on your behalf.

Website information. If you use our contact form, we collect the name, email, business name, and message you provide. We also use website analytics (Google Analytics), which collect standard usage information — such as pages viewed and general location — through cookies, and our servers keep routine logs.

How we use your information

• To set up, build, and maintain your dashboard and provide the service
• To refresh your data and to monitor for and fix issues
• To bill you and manage your subscription
• To respond to your questions and provide support
• To secure our service and meet our legal obligations

We use your information only for these purposes, for purposes you otherwise consent to, or as permitted by law.

Where your information is stored

Your analytics data is stored in Microsoft Azure SQL, hosted in Canada. Information is encrypted in transit, access is limited to those who need it, and each customer's data is isolated — you can only see your own data, and other customers can never see yours. Some of the service providers below may process limited information outside Canada.

Service providers

We share information only with the providers we rely on to run the service, and only as needed:

• Clerk — account sign-in and authentication
• Windsor.ai — the read-only connection to your social platforms
• Microsoft Azure — hosting and database (Canada region)
• Resend — sending transactional and contact-form emails
• Google Analytics — website usage analytics
• Our payment processor — subscription billing

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

How long we keep your information

We keep your data for as long as you're a customer. If you cancel, your dashboard is disabled and your data is retained for 30 days in case you change your mind, after which it's deleted. You can ask us for a copy of your data before then, or ask us to delete it sooner.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA and Alberta's PIPA, you can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw your consent (which may mean we can no longer provide the service). Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies for analytics to understand how the site is used. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; blocking them won't affect the core service.

Children

Our service is intended for businesses and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know.
